Meet Paige Brown-Purcell
MSW, LSW
Life doesn’t always unfold the way we imagine it to – and sometimes the strongest thing we can do is to ask for support. I’m honored that you’re considering me to be a part of your healing journey. I believe every person’s story is unique, and therapy should be a place where you can show up exactly as you are – without judgement, pressure or the need to have everything figured out. Together, we’ll work to help you find clarity, healing, and confidence in the path ahead.
I started my career in community mental health providing therapy before going into a School Social Work role. I have spent the past 9 years working in middle and high schools with students from diverse backgrounds by supporting those who have experienced anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and PTSD, emotional dysregulation, and mental health crises. I understand the unique pressures today’s teens face – including academic stress, social and family dynamics, identity development, peer relationships, and planning for the future. I work collaboratively with my clients and their caregivers, schools and other supports to promote lasting progress while empowering teens to recognize their strengths and build a foundation for lifelong emotional wellness. While my experience has been with adolescents, I am also happy to work with adults who experience any of the above concerns.
My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I will integrate evidence-based interventions to help clients build resilience, develop healthy coping skills, and achieve meaningful personal goals. I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Miami University and have lived in the Hamilton area all of my life, which is where all of my work experience has been.
A special area of passion I have is supporting women through infertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum journey. Having personally navigated infertility and the emotional challenges of the postpartum period, I understand that the path to motherhood is often filled with unexpected highs and lows. These experiences have deepened my empathy and strengthened my commitment to walking alongside women as they cope with infertility, pregnancy-related anxiety, postpartum depression and anxiety, identity shifts, relationship changes, grief, and the emotional complexities that can accompany building and growing a family.
