Meet Kate Hanrahan
LPCC-S
I am a licensed therapist specializing in play therapy, dedicated to helping children
express, process, and heal through the language they know best: play. With over a
decade of experience working with children and families, I create a warm, safe, and
imaginative environment where young clients can explore their emotions, build
resilience, and develop healthy coping skills. I also believe that meaningful change
happens when families feel supported as well. I work closely with parents and
caregivers, offering practical tools, encouragement, and insight to help strengthen
connection and understanding at home.
In addition to children, I see teens and adults who have experienced trauma, have
depression or other mood concerns, anxiety, ad/hd, and adjustment difficulties. I strive
to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood,
and I tailor my approach to meet each person’s unique needs and goals. Using
evidence-based techniques (such as ACT, DBT, and TF-CBT), I help clients build coping
skills, increase self-awareness, and develop healthier patterns in their thoughts,
emotions, and relationships. My goal is to empower individuals to navigate life’s
challenges with greater resilience, confidence, and a stronger sense of well-being.
