Meet Josie Muterspaw
LPCC

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to join you on your journey toward healing and personal growth. As a seasoned professional clinical counselor and supervisor specializing in developmental trauma and complex PTSD, I believe strongly in being a warm and inviting guide moving you along the path of self-discovery. With over twenty years of experience in the field, I have honed my expertise through a diverse range of clinical settings and innovative, experiential therapeutic modalities, including: Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems parts work, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and somatic approaches to healing.

After earning my master’s degree in Community Counseling from the University of Dayton, I've dedicated myself to personal growth and helping others do the same. I believe a significant barrier to mental wellness is lack of awareness, often rooted in early life experiences that shape our present struggles. Together, I'll help you identify and overcome these obstacles, empowering you to embrace your true potential and encourage your progress toward the future you envision for yourself. Throughout our journey together, my aim is to provide a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I am also passionate about supporting individuals in deepening their personal faith journeys, if that resonates with you.

Beyond my clinical practice, I am the founder of a women’s ministry and retreat center, where I devote my time to helping women deepen their faith and cultivate resilience in a culture marked by burnout, comparison, and overwork. My journey as a mother of two, always keeping me on my toe’s teen girls, has furthered my passion and commitment to nurturing holistic well-being among women and empowering them to exceed their own expectations.

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal decision, and I am honored to be considered as a partner in your healing journey. I look forward to the opportunity to support you in realizing your strengths, overcoming obstacles, and embracing a life of authenticity and fulfillment.
