Meet Elizabeth Ming
LPC
My approach to therapy is as unique as you. I believe in building a strong therapeutic foundation by getting to know you, your story, what you value, and what you find meaningful. We work together to get to the roots of the issue you’d like to address in order to find a path forward toward improved mental wellness. I see myself as a partner in the process helping you to navigate the realities and limitations of being human while also embracing the freedom to choose how to live your life, align with your values, live in the present, and find meaning.
My focus areas are adults seeking support for anxiety, grief, chronic illness, caregiver issues, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, and trauma. I am an integrated therapist incorporating a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Positive Psychology. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional I and currently working on certification in grief therapy.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I had a near 20-year career in public relations and communications with P&G and J&J, owned a local wellness center, and served as adjunct faculty at Xavier University. I then received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University, and began my work providing mental health to cancer patients, survivors, and their families before transitioning into private practice. I see it was a great privilege to be a therapist and assist others on their journey toward mental wellness!
