Meet April O'Conner
LPC
Whether you’re new to therapy or returning, I’d like to acknowledge your strength in seeking to further your journey in self-improvement and self- discovery. Deciding to seek therapy is not easy, but I’m glad you’re here.
My approach to therapy is one of warmth, genuineness, and understanding while creating a safe space for you to share freely without judgment. By collaborating together, we can discover where you are now and where you’d like to be on your journey toward mental wellness. I view myself as a witness to this journey and hope to help you along the way.
Utilizing various techniques and theories, our sessions will be tailored to your needs, preferences, and goals. I enjoy pulling from evidence-based theories and techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My road to the helping professions was not a linear one but discovering a deep passion for helping others led me here and in 2024, I received a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northern Kentucky University. Outside of the office, I enjoy traveling, concerts, and being out in nature. I hope to meet you soon and learn more about you
